Data sources and credits
Every projection input Fairline uses is free public data, and so is every price feed. This page names each one, says what Fairline pulls from it, and links to it. The models never read a sportsbook line into a projection. The odds feeds below are used to compare a book's price against the model's own number.
Model inputs
The daily schedule, probable pitchers, confirmed batting lineups, the home-plate umpire, bullpen usage, and the final scores grading settles on.
- FanGraphsMLB
Pitcher and batter leaderboards (FIP, xFIP, SIERA, Stuff+, strikeout rate, velocity, wRC+) and rest-of-season projections.
Statcast pitch-level data for a starter's recent velocity trend, and the daily four-seam drag series the run-environment anchor reads.
The 2008 to 2024 home-plate umpire tendencies, embedded once rather than fetched daily.

Temperature, sustained wind and gusts at each ballpark or stadium at game time.

The daily schedule, team abbreviations, completed results and boxscores, and the final scores grading settles on.
- MoneyPuckNHL
Team expected-goals rates at five-on-five, power-play and penalty-kill splits, and playoff probabilities.

Goalie season logs: save percentage, games played and shots against.
Each team's projected starting goalie and whether that start is confirmed.
Player expected goals and assists, injury and availability percentages, team strength ratings, the fixture list, and final scores.
The official confirmed starting eleven, which posts about an hour before kickoff.
Historical results with closing bookmaker odds. The Dixon-Coles backtest reads these season files. The daily pipeline never does.

Moneyline, spread and totals prices from Fanatics and FanDuel. The free tier caps an account at two selected books, so Fairline reads exactly those two here.
- DraftKingsMLB, NHL, EPL, NFL
Moneyline, spread and totals prices read straight from DraftKings rather than through an aggregator.
- KalshiMLB, NHL, EPL, NFL
Public market data for moneyline, spread, totals and team totals, plus MLB pitcher-strikeout and batter hits props. Kalshi counts as its own book in value detection.

The NFL model reads nflverse data under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. Fairline reads only the openly licensed nflverse releases and skips the share-alike charting datasets.
